Is it time to find healing on your MPE journey? A Misattributed Parentage Experience (MPE) can be unsettling and a lonely path to navigate. When we find out that our parent isn’t our biological parent, especially later in life, our foundation can crumble. We ask “Who Am I? Who are my new relatives and where do I belong in the world?”. We grieve the loss of our identity, our perception of who we are, and sometimes family losses as well. We’re not sure who we can talk to about our experience, who will understand and be sympathetic to us.
